January 16th- Snow Day

I'd like to say that I'm terribly disappointed that class is canceled tomorrow, but I know most of you are probably elated for a snow day. And truthfully, I hope we get enough for me to get out there and teach my younger kids how to have a proper snowball fight. (Form the snowballs quickly and then relentlessly pelt them, never, of course, aiming for their faces ;) So, here are some things I'd like you take note of for the week. You can email me your assignments if you want your papers graded more quickly. Otherwise, you will need to hand those in next Tuesday along with this week's assignments. (I'll get to that in a minute.) I already have your quick quiz ready for this week, so make sure you go ahead and brush up on last week's blog post and class notes. Class Canceled January 16th!

I will post an update here shortly on your assignment for the week. I will also put up a mini lesson for you so that you do not miss the whole week of instruction. :) Be safe and stay warm! It's a great time to fix something warm to drink and read a couple of short stories. I'll put a link up for one we would have done in class later tonight. You can email me your assignment due tomorrow and I will get feedback to you as soon as possible.

Potential Winter Storm

Class, I'm keeping an eye out on the storm that looks to be coming in on Tuesday. Today's forecast is suggesting up to 1/4 inch of ice on the roads. If this is the case, we will cancel class. Look here on Tuesday morning to see if class is cancelled. If you live in any area that might prevent you from making it to class safely on Tuesday, you can just submit your assignment through email.
